Brand BASICKS (BASIQs) is a Tokyo-based fashion brand newly launched by Masanori Morikawa, the designer who has long led the mode scene of the domestic brand CHRISTIAN DADA. It is a unisex brand with the concept of "the cycle of everyday wear / outlining". Based on basic designs, all garments are sewn with white stitchwork, making the design visible within everyday wear by "cycling / outlining" it. By giving the existing white stitchwork the meaning of an outline, the brand creates new values, similar to the readymade concept in the art scene, and proposes that the "outline" will continue to cycle regardless of changing trends and styles through all eras.
