Beauty Beast is a designer brand originating from Tokyo. Designer Takao Yamashita presented his collections in Tokyo and Paris in the 1990s, garnering passionate fans both in Japan and overseas. Based on the concept that "all light creates shadow, and there is an eternal conflict between good and evil," the brand promotes Japanese manufacturing, technological innovation, and the breaking down of conventional ideas. The brand was suddenly suspended in 2000, causing prices of archive pieces to skyrocket. Thirty years after its initial breakthrough, it has now rekindled popularity, particularly among overseas fans, and has relaunched with collaborations with Tokyo brands such as Maison MIHARA YASUHIRO and DISCOVERED.
